This would only hurt the working poor who already struggle to put gas in their car to get to work. Also the fixed income people too as well as the cost to truck food would increase so once more those who could least afford it would be the most affected. We can't do anymore to hurt those who can least absorb any additional costs. There are other ways to do this, tax the Corporations as they pay little to nothing, cars could be made to run on less, this has been a scam by the Oil Barons to prevent cars from getting better mileage. Lets get the high speed rails in, put people to work building that. Taxes only seem to end up supporting more wars and the poor and lower middle class are tired of fighting and paying for wars upon wars.
