Under normal circumstances I would say no. However, I am aware of some books that have been written to incite hatred of other racial or religious groups that are not based on any facts, but rather of stories concocted to generate the goal of violence against a group. I believe these types of books should be banned in the interests of peace.

I think it's instructive to see historically who has chosen which books to ban and why. I do think adults - both parents and teachers - ought to discuss difficult material with children, not just leave them to be shocked, confused, or frightened.
