The slow erosion of public interest obligations should make us ask whether television broadcasters are really serving their local communities, whether they are meeting the diverse needs of all Americans who own the airwaves, and whether they are contributing to a vibrant and well informed democracy.

The bottom line is there should be more educational things like documentaries and spotlight on the arts. I would rather boobs on tv then physco killer druglords but thats just me. I don't have problem with sex but I think violence is over glorified. We should have a more natural attitude when it comes to sex

"Restrict"? As in, no more Sopranos, Real Sex, Breaking Bad or Walking Dead?

I don't think snuff films should be allowed, but otherwise a ratings system and reviewers should be enough to steer people away from content they shouldn't be watching (children) or wouldn't enjoy (fundamentalists).
