Some interesting comments here.

Past Member, one can eat a variety of diets and still be concerned about animal welfare, eating meat or dairy or whatever does not exclude others from being involved and concerned about animal welfare.

Bill K, eating meat is not gluttony. Don't be ridiculous, gluttony involves eating too much of anything. Kathy Chadwell, acid reflux is hardly confined to omnivores.

Kurt EXTREMEIST-Lord Nils, did you try any mellow out supplements? Why would vegans really care if you ate plants or not, why would you label all vegans as 'worthless.' My aren't you pleasant way back then. Grown up a wee bit lately? I am omnivore and eat quite a lot of plants.

My diet is omnivore, mostly veggies, legumes, fruit, nuts and small amounts of organically raised non-factory farmed meat, eggs and dairy.

Fabel Tegelaers said that "Omnivore is not a diet, is biological determinate. You can choose what you eat but humans body is made for fruit, vegetables and nuts. Our teeth, saliva, bowls etc tells us."

Any form of eating is one's diet, Fabel Tegelaers. Your assertion of what the human body is 'made for' is an opinion, not necessarily fact since there is a lot of debate over the matter. The fact that there are omnivores makes an omnivore diet just as much a part of the human experience as is vegetarian or vegan.

If one is Inuit, then the main part of their diet is often raw meat from what they have caught given that the climate is harsh in the arctic.
