Hunting IS ethical when it is done ethically. This means minimizing suffering of the animal(s), not taking the life of a mother when she is known to have young in her presence, nor her young, not taking the life of endangered animals, and using as much of the animal as possible for food and other (by)products that can be useful (minimizing waste).
I consider trophy hunting unethical, and killing for the fur, paws or other limited parts while leaving most of the carcass behind is unethical IMNSHO!
