I think it does help because once they turn 18 and are allowed to go out drinking, they will go out and drink and it will hit the hard, whereas if the parents allow them to have the odd drink, say like a wkd at the age of 14-15, or the odd glass of wine during Christmas time or special occasions then the parents are seeing how they behave when drinki and can advise them on how and what to do, like to slow the pace down or to have water in between
