The welfare of all animals, cute or not is important to me.

There are some that carry a connotation of being undomesticatable or untamable, such as tigers, leopards, alligators, crocodiles, snakes. I would want to be very careful with any of these given they could quite easily kill me; otherwise, all animals ought to be treated with respect and cared for where necessary. I think having an elephant or monkey as a pet would be fabulous, but I would need to make provision for them having plenty of area to roam free.

When I was a teenager, yes, but not anymore. All animals deserve protection, respect, care, love and safety, and the right to love a full and happy life, irrespective of cuteness.
