Now that we have a better understanding of HIV and adequate screening capabilities, it's time to stop the gay blood ban. It's discriminatory and out of touch with reality.

Hello, just because a person is a "gay man," doesn't mean that he has HIV/AIDS. And even IF he did, I'm quite sure that there are ways for testing the blood to determine if in fact HIV/AIDS is present. Then, the infected blood could be discarded of.

Um..yes! I think its really stupid to say gay men cant donate blood when that blood could save the life of a child or another loved one.

This ban was put in place during the early days of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and it shows. It should absolutely be lifted.
