Cats are out doors animal and if possible they should be allowed to go out..We just have to neutered the cats first, so we are sure they don't fight and get kittens and remember to vaccine them once a year, so they don't get sick. Then every thing is as it shall be.

Depends on where you live.

Depends on the cat, some like it, some just don't.

The first cat I loved was an indoor-outdoor fellow who we kept inside after dark so he wouldn't get eaten by coyotes. He was a great hunter and outdoorsperson and it was essential to his sense of self to be allowed outside, but he got in serious trouble during some of his adventures. Although he lived to be fifteen, it is a fact that cats who live indoors full time live longer and healthier.

My cats are now indoor-only.

My rescue cats must be kept inside per my agreement with the adoption center. Until cats learn to look both ways before crossing the street, they are only safe inside. Also, there are too many animal torturing psychos loose in the world to allow cats to roam free.

Our cats went in and out all the time, they were all fixed up, they never caught birds, they were happy. My neighbour has a cat who is inside 24/7, she is miserable all the time. It's cruel to keep animals inside all the time, it's not natural.
