There is other options, such as translocating the kangaroos, which has been shown to be effective for both the animals and their environment. Plus, there isn't much evidence that culling is a solution for this problem.

It's bad, need to find a better way. But that won't happen - roos have been culled forever, they are in petfood, roo meat is in the supermarket for human consumption, roo skins are used to make various items such as toys and purses and they are used for rugs. As an Australian I find this disgusting in the extreme, as a vegan even more so. We need to stop the killing.
