I try to practice non-attachment. Let the thought occur, rather than trying to stifle it. Examine it. Does it have something worthwhile to offer? Usually not. Send it on its way, let it pass, release it, whatever method you use. It has no power over you. It isn't even real.

I also find it helpful to read quotes from people who inspire me. Find some that might help you.
