Lady bugs and butterflies. We all caught butterflies when we were little. It was a school project.Either they aren't around anymore or it isn't done. but I clearly remember-1st was the cabbage butterfly, yellow and white versions, then monarchs, then blue swallowtails. My father brought a cecropia Moth home.It was huge.
Till then,I had no idea a moth could be beautiful. In India,I met my first lizard. They were not outdoors where they should be. I also met roaches large enough to carry bananas. No.Not good. In California, lizards are adorable-and outside. Much cuter. Tree frogs? They are allowed to be inside or outside. It's the size that matters.Snakes-must be seen from a great distance. Other wise my husband screams like a girl. Not his fault. He was chased by a Cobra when he was a young boy and almost lost the race. It was a Mother cobra protecting her nest of eggs and he was running on a newly made tarmac. If a worker in a three-wheel car hadn't spotted him and picked him up while driving by,he'd have been a snake casualty.
