Glynis Martin stated that "Anyone who answered "no" should never call themselves an animal lover. They're not."

Not necessarily. Some people simply have preferences. Some are goldfish people, others like hamsters to cuddle with, some are dog people, some are people who purrfer felines, there are those who have dogs and cats in their home.

Some people have a phobia of rodents, that does not make them a person that 'doesn't love animals'. There are those afraid of cats but love dogs and other animals but just are...nervous around cats.

Certainly, there are people with prejudices against rodents and don't give them a fair shake, making baseless comments about rats and other rodents being 'dirty' and unworthy of their love. That of course, is their loss, they will never know how intelligent a rat or other rodents can be. Some of it is caused by upbringing, the myths surrounding rodents in general which often causes people the reluctance to truly get to know a rat or other rodent.

I prefer dogs, but the stigma that surrounds 'rodents' does not apply to me:) Some rats are very smart and I like pets with extra IQ :)
