Once again, governments put animal rights in second place behind what humans want, like a spoilt child. If there is a rise in attacks on humans by sharks, the most likely reason is that these poor animals' habitat is shrinking more and more. Whether on land or in water, humans must give animals enough space to live comfortably. Attacks will always happen, but precautions can be taken to diminish the number. Killing the animals is most definitely NOT the answer.

Australia is home to many dangerous animals. If you are not comfortable with this danger, move out. Humans cannot continue this egotistical approach to exterminating every living thing that poses only a slight risk to humans. If there are sharks there, stay out of the water.
