Upset that they are discontinuing polls...but I have not seen any new ones posted for a long time, although I have submitted many suggestions.

I can't imagine why anyone would think color has anything to do with an individual's personality. It has to do with breed characteristics, how an individual was raised, how they are treated in their daily life, and individual personality. The same as in people. Cat, and most animals, are all highly sentient beings, like humans. Just because we don't speak their language, doesn't make them any less intelligent and loving than we ourselves, are. It is a long known fact that the language of animals is thought images. The more we open our minds, and our hearts, the more we realize our similarities to each other. Loving kindness to all people, and all animals, starts at home.

This myth has made tortoise-shell cats the hardest to adopt after black cats (who sadly, don't photograph well--at least not by amateur photographers--so people don't often contact a shelter or rescue about them very often after seeing their pics on websites and such). Nevermind that they're fabulous kitties who are no more likely to be "mean" than any other. It's time to let these myths die and pets live!
