A few years ago I used my kindle a lot reading on the bus and it was great because the battery lasts a long time and if you are unsure what a certain word means you can highlight it and get its meaning origin and pronunciation. In the last few years I just get my reading from books from thrift shops mostly. I just don't use the kindle anymore and I don't know why I suppose it is nice to read real paper.

Actual books from actual bookstores and actual library. I try to limit my online book purchases to Powell's in Oregon, but I prefer to help keep the remaining indie bookstores in my town open.
