Not very promising............

Some things have decelerated or been dumbed down in the last 30 years since I left school... people's attention spans are struggling and suffering with the increased apparent sophistication of technology... the population has increased significantly, but I see very little evidence of people acting more benevolently and compassionately towards each other... and the capacity for misunderstanding through lack of engagement and communication has increased. In short, there's a lot of work to do...

Climate change and the negative impact on our health due to the lax or sometimes non-existent regulation of the unethical practices of large corporations (i.e., fracking, unsafe drilling practices, dumping of chemical waste, etc.) are big concerns of mine.

Human "progress" causes too much collateral damage.
