i would only call it a diseas if its something we cant control it.
This is an issue. A Major issue .
It doesnt help when the Goverment cant put a stop on HIgh sugars in our foods.
That Good food cost more.
Junk food companies are ruling us out.
We need to stop this.
so if we have to call it a disease. then we give up hope .

Yes. This has been a hotly debated topic. It has recently even been included in discussions for inclusion in the DSM5. This is primarily based on the fact that there are changes that happen on a neurochemical level in the brain, the gut, and other organs around the body. Further, it increases chances of heart disease, cancer, inflammatory diseases, arthritis, chronic pain, etc... the list is extensive. It is not a benign process and needs to be taken seriously.
