First, I don't use dryer sheets because ick.

Second, I used to be EXTREMELY sensitive to smells and certain chemicals.

The instant, stabbing headaches I got from some people's perfumes really made my life difficult for a while, and that is just one of the symptoms I suffered.

I'm so grateful that this seems to have been "an episode" lasting a few years rather than a lifelong nightmare for me.

I often wonder, though, whether a similar affliction on a wider swath of the populace might make people more aware of how their actions affect others.
