If we had boycotted China over its human rights abuses, then we would have had to boycott Russia (again), as well.

I don't think the U.S. boycott in 1980 was effective or good policy.

You either believe in the symbolism of the Games as a kind of diplomatic outreach from one nation's people to another nation's people, or you give up and stop having them altogether.

If you have a problem with the countries or a country chosen by the IOC as a host site, then write a letter to them about it.
