Yes. If you are curious about it: DON'T.

The needles are about a foot long and they are not supposed to pierce any organs.

The acupuncturist is supposed to be exceedingly skilled: NOT!

Each person's body is different, the organs of one person are not exactly in the same place as another person.

These "minor" differences (to real doctors) are a major hurdle for the acupuncturist who probably doesn't have more than a High School Diploma and some "Degree" earned at an online college(notorious for selling degrees).

My acupuncturist pierced my spleen and it was very painful and required me to go see a real doctor.

Besides the obvious dangers, you will feel really creepy having all these needle poking/piercing your body.
