I read Neal Boortz' book on the so-called "fair tax" and saw the swiss cheese of holes in that proposal, but I do agree that the whole tax code needs to be scrapped and start again. Especially the hodgepodge of deductions built to encourage various behaviors through the decades which has become a game of who can buy themselves out of the most in taxes.
