No. Never. College kids are, as a whole, not mature enough to have a pet on campus. Just keep your animal at home, at your parents house, until you get your own place when you're out of school.

Mostly its a legal issue that has to do with insurance, so it really should be up to the school. Otherwise there really aren't many negatives
