Mostly no. My parrot came to live in this country against her will. She chose me and needed rehab. Even if I could have returned her to her natural habitat, she would not have survived. I miss her every day.

The only time it is permissible to keep a wild animal in captivity is if the animal is unable to take care of itself in the wild. Even then, its wild life should be approximated as much as possible.
