Never, The flu vaccine is made up a year in advance and that's according to the CDC. There are millions of flu viruses and they are always adapting or changing. The flu vaccine only contains 3 to 4 flu strains, so choosing which flu viruses will be active in the coming flu season, is like picking stars from the sky. As one CDC official said "you have a better chance of winning the lotto" . So, good luck. Another question is.. How often do you get the flu? For me about once every 15 years.

I used to get one every year, until I learned that Thimersol(mercury) is contained in many of them. Not all of them, but I always ask.
