I meant to include in my previous post that evolution deals with the development and diversity of life, not the creation of the world.

The categories are incorrect. The world did not come about because of evolution or creationism and only indirectly because of the Big Bang. The world--meaning Earth--is the result of the explosion of a supernova in the place now occupied by our solar system. Earth and the rest of the planets are the result of the accretion of dust and gases left over from the supernova.
