Our 7 yr old grandson has developed his language, reading and reasoning skills well beyond his age and well beyond his male cousin of same age in public school. We can't wait for his 2 yr old sister to start this coming January as she is already demonstrating rapid skill development simply by interacting with her brother.

This is our seventh year at ILMS. Our daughter started at 2 and a half in 2004. Our son started at the same age in 2007. We highly recommend ILMS as the PERFECT start in education for your child. Montessori education will foster the desire the learn and explore...and that is something that will stay with your child throughout their lives. It is truly the best foundation in education available. Ivy League Montessori feels much more like a family than a school. Earlier this year, our family faced cancer head on. Our son's teacher became part of our "team"...working with us to monitor the effects of his dad's diagnosis on his emotional well-being. She began sending emails if something seemed "off"... even if it was just that he was having a "different" kind of day. She became a true partner in raising our child. Getting through those months would have been much harder without her. That is only one example of the love that our children have felt since enrolling in ILMS...there are so many more. In addition to the comfort level we have with this school, we've been very pleased with the academics! Our 4th-grade daughter (who was at ILMS through "first grade" and is now in public school) has always enjoyed school. Long division and multiplication have come easy to her because of the hands-on manipulatives she worked with at ILMS. She makes straight As and always takes on any challenge offered at her school - writing competitions, academic bowl, choir, spelling bee - she is incredibly confident in herself academically. Further, she has a heart of gold and is always trying to work for the greater good. Our son (who will be 6 in December) loves to read and his latest accomplishment is writing stories. He writes about nature, friends, family. He loves math and has recently started working with the multiplication material. Montessori has also helped us, as parents, appreciate the different strengths of our children. We don't compare them with numbers, as you might be tempted to do with grades. Rather, we celebrate their individual successes. Here's a perfect example of a Montessori moment. We took our son to Disney last week as an early birthday surprise. We went to the Magic Kingdom, but he didn't seem really "engaged" so we decided to go to Epcot the next day. He LOVED it. Would have stayed on "Living with the Land" boat ride all day if we'd let him. It's a slow boat ride that teaches about different types of soils and climates, and growing food through hydroponics. His second favorite ride was "Soarin"... and he loved the international showcase. In fact, he said "I wish there were MORE countries!" If you only knew our son...he is ALL OUT, sports guy, cool dude to the extreme. Roller coasters would have been my default pick for his favorite thing to do. But the hands-on education at ILMS has given him a REAL appreciation for nature and the world around him... Again, we highly recommend ILMS...because of the family feel, hands-on learning, and solid foundation for future education. Schedule a visit to see just what we mean.

What's not to like about our beloed school. We've been there for 4 years now and we love it more and more each day. The staff is extremely qualified but especially loving and nurturing and the families are just the kind of people you want to have around your children as they grow up. Definitely ILMS is our home away from home!

The teachers encourage a sence of independence among the students--from the youngest to the oldest. The children advance not only in areas of intellect, but in life skills as well. The degree of compassion exhibited by the staff as well as the students is impressive--by helping one another, the students learn the lessons better and gain a sense of pride in knowing that they gave aided their classmates. The students are allowed to shine while at the same time learning to work in mire of a team setting.

Our 6 y.o. daughter started primary at Ivy League Montessori at the age of 2-1/2. Turn-over rate with the staff is very low – they leave because they retire or have babies; not because they leave for other opportunities. All staff members are responsive to email and phone calls and take parent’s input seriously. There are many opportunities to learn about what your child does every day: parent education nights, observing classes at any time, and participating in a “Silent Journey” when parents “go to school” as if they were the child going to ILMS. The school focuses on the whole child – socially, emotionally, and academically. It attracts a diverse group of educationally focused families where parents are very involved. Our daughter loves going to school – she is excited about learning which is just as much about the materials and the methods as it is about the people.

Ivy League is an amazing Montessori school. My children have only been there about a month and we have seen amazing progress in their writing and cognitive skills. We were at another Montessori school in TX, before moving to GA and this school is a much higher caliber school!!
