|Moments before the sun peaks over the horizon, the sky above Cambodia glows orange-yellow. Flocks of parrots squawk noisily as they fly from their night perches toward the fruit laden trees to the west. Monkey's hoot and thrash through the trees to announce their territorial rights. Mist from the jungle rises above the treetops and the cacophony of nighttime insect noises begins to fade. For the next twelve hours the forest is relatively quiet as most animals remain hidden from the light and heat. When the sun finally sets, the parrots fly noisily back to roost and the creatures of the night rejoice.|
