Polar bears are well-adapted to their Arctic environment. Winter temperatures in the far north often plunge to -40F. On bitterly cold and windy days, polar bears dig a shelter in a snow bank and curl up in a tight ball to wait out the storm. Snow forms an insulating blanket over this bear as he naps comfortably oblivious to weather conditions. - photographer, Dan Guravich.
