"Black rhinoceros have excellent hearing and smell but they do not see well if objects are more than 100 yards away. This 6 year old female black rhino charges toward the edge of her enclosure at the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center to investigate curious on-lookers as they pass by the rhinoceros barn. Just imaging a 2600 lb. animal charging toward you at speeds up to 30 mph! Although she 'belongs' to the government of Zimbabwe, Coco resides in Texas as part of a breeding program designed to protect these incredible endangered creatures from extinction." - photographer, John Wasserman.
