|Today there are about 2,200 gray wolves near Lake Superior in Minnesota and more than 250 in northern Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. These animals represent the largest population of wolves in the contiguous United States and have shown that wolves and humans can live side by side with few conflicts.
Defenders of Wildlife has been working for wolf recovery in the Great Lakes for nearly 20 years. As the wolf population grows, Defenders is working to protect the wolves from illegal killing and to advocate a scientifically based approach for safeguarding their survival. Celebrate wolves and humans living side by side by sending this card!|
