|I did not linger in Bill's very warm demonstration area during the Burritt Museum's Fall Sorghum and Harvest Festival, staying just long enough to get photos for studio work. I painted a series of watercolors based on the craftspeople demonstrating 19th century skills in period dress. Their close attention to the tasks and a meditative quality in the simple repetitive movements lent a sense of peace to these images. |
