He was a member of the Rube Band, an entertaining group of weekend musicians participating in a maple festival in Chardon, Ohio. This was not a posed photograph. The gentleman simply turned his head a split second before my shutter clicked. That spontaneous move created this most engaging portrait straight from the pages of Dickens. To this day, I don't even know his name. When I returned to Chardon to locate him, no one could identify him. And he was nowhere to be found.
