Please pray for the family of the Pastor from South Korean who was murdered.
His wife has been informed of His death and she needs as much prayer as possible. I do not know if they have children but you could put in a prayer for relatives, members of the church, and friends.
Thank-you! May God Bless you through-out the day!

South Koreans meeting with Taliban August 10, 2007 August 10, 2007 11:11 PM

The South Koreans are meeting with the Taliban to negotiate but have little power to meet their demands. The Afghanistan government may have to forcefully try to free the hostages as their options are narrowing.
The South Korean hostages have been separated into several groups.

Donna- I just wanted you to know( I saw on the evening news) the Christian Community in Koreatown(Los Angeles) is united- wanting the freedom for these missionaries. There are also people of influence seeking to help. Be encouraged- they are in a politically charged situation. I think any humanitarian effort is targeted to hurt the most and get what the kidnappers want- the release of Taliban prisoners. We do know - from the Word- that this would be part of these times and if we don't let His Peace garrison our minds- we could also be held hostage. Stand fast. This is a difficult ministry you have been called to- keep your eyes on Him. Remember- no matter what- when we've been there 10 thousand years- we'll have no less days to sing His praise than when we'd first begun. And we have Eternity . Love- in Christ Jesus and from me to you- Lee  [ send green star]  [ accepted]  [report anonymous abuse]  [ accepted]

More information! July 30, 2007 4:04 PM

The hostages were taken while traveling in a bus, in Afghanistan, by the Taliban, and taken to the Ghazni province. Pastor Bae Hyung-Kyu of Saemmaual Community Church in Bundang, just outside Seoul, was the first hostage shot. His body has been returned to South Korea to his family.
I do not know the ages of the hostages, but the women have forced to veil their faces (A film was sent to one of the extremist news channels there and they claim that it is of the hostages.) and are being kept in a cave. Another male has been killed, and the body has not been found.
A quote from the Associated Press:
'Parents and families are gathered at the Church , sharing prayers, meals and sleepless nights.'

The South Koreans had traveled to Afghanistan to help those who needed help.  [ send green star]  [report anonymous abuse]  [ accepted]

I am relieved and overjoyed that, 'the South Korean Hostages have been released, and "handed over to Reto Stocker, head of the International Committee of the International Red Cross delegation in Afghanistan, in two stages on a road in Ghazni province in the cental part of the country." 'An Associated Press Reporter said.
