Your'e welcome for the new thread!

Not clicking for the next few days, my shoulder is not good and can't spend too much time on the computer.

Monica ~ Thank you. It's so painful every time I type with my right hand. Safe travels and I hope that it is a lovely send off for your friend. My condolences.

All done.

Thank you Janine for the new thread.  So sorry for your shoulder.  Are you sure it's not the frozen shoulder  ? Exercise can cure it.

Safe journey,  Monica.  Sorry for your loss.

Monica, I hope the person wasn't really close to you. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Have a speedy safe trip.

Janine, Is your new camera digital. I have a 35 mm with a zoom lens that I took some lovely wildlife pictures with, mostly birds, but since the advent of digital you just get fil at the local drug store or drop it off for developing. My digital is nice, but not like the 35 mm. Take care of your shoulder. Since typing seems to set it off, maybe it is carpal tunnel syndrome. With that, you could have pain anywhere in the arm along the nerve involved I think. Just a thought.

Shanta, Sau, and Sheila, I hope all is well with you and you are staying cool. Sheila, you maybe need warmth.

Take care all, Love and Hugs!!!

Good morning everyone!

Sheila ~ I hope you are well. Missing your lovely pictures. xo

--

Shanta ~ It's the same problem. I've been exercising it as well as resting for a while in a sling when we are chilling watching Netflix. Glen is massaging the area as well. Honestly, it's not a huge problem considering what others are going through, it's just frustrating that I can't keep up as I have to take long breaks from the computer. Great to see that you can use Pinterest now. xo

--

Terrie ~ It is a digital. We opted for a Nikon and just need to spend time with it. It has an almighty zoom so I hope we can (eventually) take some amazing images of the moon. So many things to learn. I'd like to do a photography course. Just finding the time. Feel free to send some of your pictures to me, Terrie. I love looking a wildlife pics. xo

No Terrie,  we aren't cool.  We had 28 C after the cyclone for two days  . Now it's back to 42 C . At 8 AM now it's 35 C already.  The AC fails it's purpose

Janine go on with the exercises.  Thankfully it's not spondylitis  which is incurable.  I have had it on both my  shoulders and with exercise I am fine  now.  But I have stopped doing the tedious thing as soon as the pain vanished

Hello Sau,  Sheila and Monica.

A happy and peaceful weekend for you all

All done except SFYC quiz, which was intolerable today, did what I could before I lost it.

Sau and Janine, Thank you for the wishes for a happy Mother's Day and weekend...beautiful, calming picture!

OMG Shanta, that kind of humid heat would suck the life right out of me...you are the tough cookie. Your AC can't keep up with it?

To everyone here, I hope you have a relaxing weekend. And whether your children have two legs or four, have a joyful Mother's Day!!!

Thank u so much . Poor shanta ! Hot , humid & without AC ? Here people have died summer time without AC. My cats got sick . Well wishing u all a cool sweet weekend

All ran smoothly for me

Terrie, thanks for the Mother's day wishes.  Terrie,  I have a single biped child of Janine's age group who doesn't have any need for me any longer apart from the emotional ones.  But our fur babies will always look up to me for their survival, so I think they are of more importance to all of us.  Happy Mother's day to you too.

No Sau,  not without AC , but the AC  can't cope without the heat. Specially when you step out,  it's bound to give you the jerk. Many here succum to the heat stroke also in spite of all the precautions they take.  It's the Natural phenomenon dear we  can fight but can't overcome. Only Mother Nature can relieve us by bringing down the heat with rain

Happy Sunday to all.

You are so right Sau. So many people just can't cope with the heat. You are probably having temps in the 80's and 90's F. By me we are lucky if the mercury hits 60 F. I think my perennials have been slow to break ground this year, because to soil temps have been so cold.
Shanta, I feel so bad for you. I would be a limp dishcloth if I lived in that climate. Have you considered moving to the mountains? Hey, it just occurred to me, everyone could visit me in spring and summer and in the winter we can go by you and then Janine.
Everyone, have a wonderful day and/or peaceful evening. Love and Hugs to all!!!

Clicked all. Thank you for your thoughts. My friend was in her nineties and in terribele shape, so it was a relieve for everybody when she fell asleep for ever.

Janine, please take a break from the computer, but not from exercises. You should also wear a splint on your wrist which doesn't allow you to bend your hand. This should help with wrist and elbow and  eventually also with the shoulder. Will follow up in my email tomorrow.

Thank you for the wonderful pictures, love them! Have a good week Janine, Sau, Shanta, Sheila and Terrie!!!!!

Hi all ~ I'll be clicking later.

Monica ~ I do have a splint for my right hand, but can't keep it on all the time. Damn my work being computer based. Anyway, it's ongoing and I just have to manage it. There are PLENTY of people a lot worse off than me, so I shouldn't complain. Thank you for your concern. xo

Terrie beautiful programme to solve our miseries with our respective climactic troubles. I hope it's stopped snowing by now? I have a similar picture of the avian kids which hatched on a nest  cleverly built by the mom over a tall cactus to keep the babies out of reach of cats and snakes. I made a shed during the  scorching summer and the following rains. It was a feast for the eyes to see mom feeding them.

Yes Monica,  death is a bliss for anyone who can't carry themselves any longer.

Janine, you are right... when you are in pain if you think of others ' greater plights your own pain alleviates.  I  do the same.

Hello Sau... what about your summer days  ? Does the ac help ?

All done.
Shanta, I am happy to say the snow is history and it is slowly warming up. The temps should range in the 60's this week. Our beautiful songbirds are back from Central and South America and congregating at the bird feeders. There is some nest building going on. We are still waiting for hummingbirds to show up. Amazingly, there is one last vestige of winter left, a remnant of a snow plow pile that is sheltered from the sun under some thick evergreens.
Monica, happy you arrived back home safe and sound.
Janine, Get your arm in swinging order soon
Sau and Sheila, I hope all is well with you both.

I love those hummingbirds. I do have some . I remember one really loved to give my cats a hard tme. so funny to watch . that bird sought or looked for my cats in our backyard. man he was waiting and looking downward to see !! he was cat t.v..
Shanta AC is a must for every one here. is still working . I wish our temp were in the 60's instead. talking about bird we have a resident ugly bird who never sleeps . that damn thing sings ( ugly song ) in the middle of the night and all morning long ! never sleep . what self respecting female bird wants him to be her mate !

Terrie, glad that you are enjoying the pleasant spring.  Birds spluttering free is the most beautiful sight among the non human species.  But here the tribals  enmesh them to sell to be put in a cage like a domestic pet. Now a days I have seen the youngsters buying cages and later setting the birds free.

My God Sau... what do you have  for the night watchman  ? We have only the pigeons to dirty our balconies terraces.  Two of them are now busy building nest on my mango tree. I too will have to struggle hard later to keep my dogs at a safe distance.

Sau, Hummers are indeed fun to watch. I love their ariel acrobatics and the way they defend their territories of flowers and feeders. I am so happy to say that one appeared on a feeder this morning. Now I can say spring is officially here. I can imagine how easily they could suck a cat in.

Shanta, so sorry to hear of the imprisonment of the songbirds, but bless the sweet souls that post their bail. It is enjoyable to watch nesting birds.

Shiela, Monica, and Janine, I hope you are doing well.

Everyone here, have a lovely day and/or restful evening. Love and Hugs!!!

Guess what’s? I like pigeons ! I feed them in the shopping mall where I used to work , now shop for food & do my gym daily. Knowing how people hate them & do run over them , I feed them about 5 a.m. each morning when is dark . There used to be 2 waiting for me for a while. They were buddies. Whenever they saw me , they would come over . They moved like chickens.
Now there is just one waiting for me by my gym. On Sunday about 5 a.m. I have drop seeds off for the gym bird fast . Don’t want to get caught by the new guard. Missing the old one who was very friendly & liked pigeons.
Hate to see anything hungry and suffering. I will feed any warm blooded animals. Love feeding them especially pigs & of course cats .
Miss throwing left over chickens my cats did not eat to my ex neighbor’s dogs. They loved me , well my food really,

Monica, is it always that cold this time of year every year?

Sheila, what a beautiful picture...I want to be there!

Everyone, have a lovely day!!!

Monica , your place sounds so inviting to me . I am dreading summer here . I looked the temp in June will be in the 90's daily ! damn. pigeons are not vermin. people are . hell local livestock folks consider lions are vermin , cats in all western countries . but NOT humans who are breeding like flies . and all the conservation will not save any damn species at all . zoos are waste of money . they are for those who work there and the researchers to keep their projects going and going like animal testing researches.

Hello girls... this is to announce that I am going on a trip to the Himalayas in October along with my daughter, s in law and twenty others. Since big carriages are risky we have to divide into small groups . Never mind, Himalayas is a vast stretch so when you are here we can go to some other range. We will go upto 15,600 ft. This will be my 5th tryst with  this oldie I adore so much. I have gone up to 17,000 ft 12 years ago. Sau I loved your Rocky Mountains a lot.  But had to starve as when we reached the top dying of hunger, the only cafe there had only chickens to serve.  Ultimately they found some dry loaf to save me and my daughter.

Terrie, my lady pigeon had laid eggs I think.  She isn't leaving the nest. But it's quite high and I am just praying that there's no shower or storm before the babies learn to fly and move away

Sheila, your pictures of the sublime nature are feast for eyes. I have  to download them now as my Pinterest isn't working.

Sau,  I have a neighbour who like you feeds birds like pigeons parrots etc. He scatters whole grams on the ground for them, strangely at the same time as you do, 5 am. The morning walkers halt to see the flocks pecking at the seeds. I have never seen as I complete my cores with the furry ones at 5.15 before they leave the house to have their doles from the others who feed them.

Monica,  just send some cold breeze our way please . I have a mind to go to the  Edelwisse . The Sound of Music has made it immortal. How are you doing now?

A happy and peaceful Thursday to all

Shanta , when r u gong to the the tallest mountain in the world ? Sounds so much fun with friends & family .

I put some seeds out for a whole when I was living in Los Angeles. In my patio . Had a few came. I knew better so putting seeds on a table for the safety of birds . A cat showed up to watch , nothing happen. Way to entertain my cats . I also had 2 hummingbird nesting by my front door in front of a window. My cats loved that.
Strangely neighborhood did not bother the birds in patio. Tool one sick one home. She or he died next day. Appeared to be sick or just old ( its time to go ). But one day I saw a very long tail hanging down from my patio table. My seeds attracted rats !
Omg ! The rat got into out neighbor condo. He ate thru his drywall ! So I stopped feeding birds since. It was bad because we had to let pest control company to plung up all the holes in all our pipes, walls etc. costed our association money. In short, be aware of the unwanted companions . If cats show up , not their fault nor the rats. Fault is ours .
In big bear people feeding or putting seeds out for birds attract local bear . That is a death sentence for the bears .
Getting back to hummingbird, they had 2 really tiny eggs. My cats & I watched them grow. Both grew to fly. Well one took off , one died ( found it on my tree ). The birds built their tiny next on my tiny tree. Not bad to have one raised successfully. 50 per cent is far better than most wild lions & even elephants. And my tree is not big and was in the community walk way , very small ,unnatural. The birds made a bad choice I think .

We are starting on the 4th October Sau. I don't like this trip which seems to be more like a picnic party.  Most of the guys are going to have the first experience with the Himalayas.  There are 6 kids from 5 to 17. I don't know how they can cope with it.

You are correct about unwanted companions.  Yes rats are here too. But for some reason none has ever disturbed me because of the dogs' hanging around  which is more useful for keeping away snakes.  Snakes will trail behind the rats . But I have a rat visiting me every winter . My husband calls him(? )My boyfriend.  You can see him scurrying on the floors . But he has never destroyed a single item.  I just leave pieces of bread or biscuits.  He is satisfied.  But my daughter is not so lucky.  Rats get through even the cupboard s to nibble on the clothes bags.  Last October she called the pest control for the first time  as the damages were more than you can bear. Here we all use the rat repellents to drive them.  No glue or poison is used any more.

I scatter rice on the balcony and a bowl of water for the birds . They also peck on the left overs of the dogs. The dogs are bird tolerant most of the times.  But sometimes evil spirits possess them and they destroy one whom they can catch.

All done. Yesterday too.
Monica, You should be all rested up by now. Sounds like your weather is a lot like ours...the temps are up and down in April and May. We just had a couple of days in the 70's F., but back down to 50's today and 40's tomorrow with rain. It was raining a little yesterday morning and we thought it would continue you off and on throughout the day, so we decided to take a car trip up to the town of Norway near the Upper Michigan state line. There were some greenhouses up there that we have seen on past trips but never went to. We also took a walk in some state forest land and it was beautiful. The terrain is very hilly and rocky, wildflowers blooming and the tree leaves just unfurling...they look like lace. Turned out to be a sunny warm day.
Sau, how lucky you are to have seen a hummer raise little ones. We have only one species of hummer here...the ruby-throated hummer. Every year I look for nests, but no luck yet. They are so tiny! What keeps you from going back to California?
Shanta, your trip to the Himalayians sounds like quite the adventure. Are all the people going family members? We don't have pigeons, but we have mourning doves which are very much alike. The build there nests by just throwing sticks together willy nilly. It's truly amazing any of the little ones survive. Many different species don't survive wind and storms. I sometimes see little one's dead on the ground after a storm. So sad!
I am off to wash dishes now. That never happened yesterday.
Shiela, Janine, Sau, Monica, and Shanta, Have an awesome day and/or peaceful evening. Love and Hugs!!!

All done. Wow Shanta, what a trip. A friend of mine went to Nepal and the Himalayas and came back with great stories. How long will you be there? I envy you.

I love humming birds too, of course we don't have them in Austria, but I used to watch them in Tobago, at a friends house all the time. Where I live in Vienna, there are some sparrows and - of course - pigeons. I really don't like them. When I moved to this place in the 70ies, there were so many birds in the trees next to my bedroom window. They alsways woke me up in the mornings in summer. Was very nice. Now they are all gone... there are more in DC, because of Rock Greek Park which is a green lung of the city. There are deers and they come to your backyards.... people are complaning and want them killed. I hate this!

OMG Sau, this sounds really terrible. I was in Vegas several times, and always happy to get out of there. In DC we had this temperatures only in August.

I wish you all a great weekend, stay healthy and safe!!!

No Terrie . Apart from we two and my daughter her husband and her mother in law the rest are her four friends with their families. I have gone to  the Himalayas always in groups but never was there such a messy group of kids . My daughter's mil is not a person fit for travelling let alone the mountains at such altitude.  Specially she is hypochondriac too. But her son is dragging her to it against her will. BTW  yesterday two climbers lost their lives while scaling the peak of Kanchenjangha,  the highest peak in India, 28,169 ft / 8586 mt .

Your adventure sounds so  awesome.  A day in the natural surroundings is  more rejuvenating than anything I would say. Sadly I couldn't explore Wisconsin as we were there on a short visit for ten days.  So I had to see all the manmade structures  .

Monica,  Nepal has the Mt Everest.  Last year a man from my city lost his life in a blizzard while climbing the highest peak.  My daughter and son in law trek each year to several ranges.  Last year they were lucky to have with them a  climber who had done the base camp of the Everest only but summited several less taller peaks and also the  Kilimanjaro .

You may not have the pigeons but you are lucky to have the sparrows which have vanished from our country.  They say that the excessive use of mobiles  has done this.  If we chance to spot one once in a blue moon  we devour it with eyes as If we are seeing a dodo.

Sau, it's 112 here max. But ours is a tropical zone.  It has to be so. After 10 till 5 PM it's risky to move outdoors without precautions

All done.

Shanya, I had no idea that so many people die on those mountains. Most of them never make our news...to busy talking about the idiots tweets. Your daughters mil coming doesn't bode well for an enjoyable time. Maybe something will change by the time October rolls around.

Monica, that is sad that your songbirds are gone. I love laying in bed listening to them too. It's a happy way to start the day. It must be nice to travel all over. Does the news outlet you work for pay for a lot of your trips?

Sau, I have heard housing is terribly expensive in California. Isn't everything more expensive? Have you thought about Oregon or Washington?

I am going to a wedding today, some good friends of ours. It is to be outside, but it is raining at the moment. I believe there is a pavilion there. I do hope it stops soon.

Have a nice day everyone. Take care!

Yes Terrie we are hoping my son in law gets the better sense and drops his mom. The poor lady is reluctant too but he won't take a no for an answer. After I told you about two,  yesterday one again went missing on way to the Everest. If someone is lost there , the bodies will be lost for ever. I don't understand this craze for summiting the peaks. I asked some climbers I know  and they can't express themselves. But they say it's an addiction they can't overcome. Hope you enjoyed the wedding in spite of the  rain

Sau, of the few places I visited there I felt that the cost of living was much better in Texas.

We had a wonderful time at the wedding. The couple took there vows in a small garden and lucky, the rain held off for them. There was a pavilion with a heater to stand by which was nice as it was chilly and damp. There were several big tents connected. They had a bar and food, nothing fancy, but nice. It was great to spend some time with people you don't see all too often.

I hope everyone here has a new week filled with blessings. Love and hugs!!!

Shanta , I feel bad for your in law . I heard they have litter problems there. Just think of those climbing & tenting on those slopes . Where do they go when nature calls ? No dirt to bury their poo. At least in safari, there is dirt ! Lucky me . I always managed to wait till we got back to camp. But us girls have to hide behind bushes. Except onetime , we saw a vehicle of tourists & guides with binoculars! The other lady could get up fast , but I was in the middle. Thank god for our guide . He was so cool . He just signaled them to go to another direction. I was laughing so hard ! Picture 2 women with their bare butts instead of some scary lions or pissed off bull elephant.they found us !

Hi ladies, I try to do my daily clickes and sign petitions, but didn't post. We have a major political scandal in Austria, which hit the rightwing party of outrr coalition government. Yeah!!! I was on the street Saturday and Sunday. We will have new election in September, but the interim government will probably notg survive nextg week. And then?? Who knows, we never had a situation like this. And of course there are the elections for the European parliament on May 26, where we pray that the rightwing parties of Europe don't win too much. So bare with me, I will be back on a regualr basis asap. I send you big hugs and hope you all are doing well!!!!

Monica,  our month long election has ended and results will be coming from tomorrow.  But Modi has fed the nation with his bigotry and jingoism so much that we are apprehensive of his return.  Since my childhood I have never seen  right wings sweeping majority.  I wish a massive earthquake destroys the country.

Hope you have better government.

hi girls ! trump has gone insane . I bet he feels like someone is pulling his fat pants down ! 2 judges ordered Dustch bank and his accountant firm to show his years of tax return to Congress ! he is one spoiled, old , fat , dumb , lazy , dirty and greedy crook with girly hands ! like the rest of the world , this country of mine ( u.s. ) is so influenced and controlled by the right wingers . faults u know are ours because we are both lazy to do some research on truth , selfish ( care only about ourselves and our family ) , greedy too at times and face it ( short sightedness ). to be truthful , we are NO better than animals who want to live freely , have plenty of food to eat and live on , live under a roof ( safety ) in peace and even raise some off springs successfully . and if one has formed good friendship , that would be a plus . that includes pack or herd animals also ( not just the loners like the feline species , bear , marine mammals etc.

Monica, please pray for us. Today the counting starts within an hour.  The exit polls reports  showed a grim future.  This vile guy has made the Election Commission his puppet . It has given clean chit to 9 violations of his election codes . He used the public properties  for his campaigns.  He opened five TV channels against rules to propagate his goeblesian lies slandering Gandhi,  Nehru and the former PM s of India.  He played the religion card to win over the majority  and has openly threatened to amend the constitution starting with changing the status of  a secular India to a Hindu one.  Even the great seers here are  disgusted with his jingoism. Marx 's  comment is the most suitable for us now  ,religion the opium  for the mass . I have seen a lot of leftists of the past turning  islamophobics here.  They have started with the Muslims.  Their  next  targets are the Christian s. We are fearful of a civil  war after he regains power.

Sau... I don't know which one is the worst.  Only the suffer knows where the shoe pinches. But none of you but we have the religion factor dominating over any problem. Since 70 years after our independence did we have such disharmony in the country. The last five years saw all these. Do you know the GDP of India has touched the lowest mark , below the African countries.

Clicked all .                                                                             True Terrie.  His followers used to say those who don't like him have no place in India,  long before the election was held. The lack of a strong and credible opposition did the debacle. There are so many parties.  Specially the Goeblesian  lies propagated by his party served as opium to the mass apart from the original opium, religion . His only difference  is that he is too shrewd

Monica,  I sent a report of his total deeds in last 5 years. There was an article on the New York Times calling him Divider in Chief. They are so audacious that they dared  to  defy the notice of the UNHCR  Re military atrocities in Kashmir . We are scared of another five years ahead.

Hello Sau.  I am coming to you on messenger

All done. Clicking every day, sorry I haven't posted here in a few days.

You are right Monica, the Hitlers of the world don't get to power by themselves, they have plenty of help and the help comes from people like you and me. That is what is really scary. People don't learn from history, they just keep making the same mistakes over and over. What is going on in Austria and it's right-wing coalition?

Sau, you are right also in that humans ARE animals, but animals do what they do in order to survive. We no longer need to fight for survival anymore, not only are we at the top of the food chain, but we have the potential intelligence to live very comfortably in peace with our environment, but for all the reasons you mentioned we don't. It is hard for most people to look in the mirror and see the ugly naked truth about themselves. I believe most people here in Care2 can see their weaknesses and faults, but choose to play into their better selves.

Shanta, I am so sorry for the outcome of your election. I know you are not surprised, but still, it is very disappointing. When a party like Modi's gets so entrenched it becomes harder to fight against it. Here in the states, I think if one more right-wing justice is appointed to the supreme court, it will bode very badly for the everyday people here. By their own ignorance, they are like sheep led to the slaughter and unfortunately, we will all go down.

Try and stay positive everyone and have a beautiful weekend! Sending Love and Blessings!!!

Thank u for your live & blessing. Guess what I am watching on t,v. Now? Blazing saddles by Mel brooks. Those were the days. I really enjoyed the movies in the 70’s . Can’t stand trump & those stupid reporters & tv talking heads . They aren’t so bright. Herd mentality also. Well ... have a wonderful weekend girls.

Thank you Monica and Terrie for your timely support.

Monica , we have our regressed mindset which helped the devil.  Even the  diehard socialists of the past days are blaming the older government for their " Muslim appeasement policies " like reservations,  their setting up of mosques etc . But our constitution gave them this rights and now an amendment of the same is demanded from our jaundiced public

Sara I love your metaphorical " sheep " being led to slaughter . It's the most appropriate for us.  Now there's a joke running . In democracy all the MPs make a PM ( prime minister) . Here one PM made all the MPs.  All the pos s  like the movie stars with no public life won. Even one terror accused,  charged with a train blast was out on bail and won . The election commission and the supreme court are mere puppets of our Hitler

Sau,  I am going to messenger now

Yesterday I couldn't open Care2 at all from morning till night.  But I had access to any other site.  Even I could sign the C2 petitions there.

Terrie,  I can send you the volcano. Yesterday we experienced a little tremor at 4.7 by Richter scale  . It just shook a few. The massive guys like my husband had to be convinced only with the TV news

Sau,  did you see the new threat to the Monkey Island? Why don't our so called scientists leave the animals in peace?

Hope this new week is perfect without any terror strike or natural calamity anywhere on the planet

All done.

Shanta, I have trouble with care2 too, but I also have connectivity problems when I am at home, almost outside of cell tower reach. It can be a royal pain sometimes as it takes so long to get through sometimes.

Which volcano? Dear Shanta, I am so happy you experienced only a minor tremor. Did you hear of the 8.0 quake in Peru? It was centered about 300 miles inland and some 60+ miles deep. They could feel it in Brazil and Columbia.

Which Monkey Island are you talking about?

Weather has been wonderful last couple of days and we have got a lot of planting done. It is cloudy now and supposed to rain later this afternoon. That will be good for the new plantings.

Hi ladies, done for today and clicked also yesterday and Saturday... Austria finally lost the rightwing government, 2 parties in parliament voted them out. This has never happened before, but I am so happy. Now we get an interim goverment formed with experts, not politicians. And elections in September. We also had the elections for the EU parliament, and guess what, the ultraconservative party of the now ex- chancellor won. I couldn't believe it. And the will vote him in power again in September. You are all right, people don't learn .....

Shanta, I never got your report, but I read the article in the NYT. Compared to India, I should not complain about Austria, at least it's such a small country without any geopolitical importance like India. I wish you all a good week!!!!

Terrie I told of volcano figuratively only.  Here you can't move out after 9 AM till sundown and I feel so bad for those who have to.  Yes, it was just a tremor which we have a year. But the seismic zones encounter 8, devastating a huge range as it did in the last quake in Nepal causing great damage to the Himalayan cities in India as well . But the biggest one was in Gujarat in 2001 which left two big cities in total debris. Apart from  South America  the Indonesian islands too are frequent victims of nature's fury.

Re the monkey's island, it was a post on the FB reporting how the monkeys devastated from the cyclone are now subject of the scientists' research to gauge the level of trauma

Monica , I am so glad that your rightwingers are out. Now wait and see what happens in September. Yes, Marilyn told me of the pathetic result of the EU election . Somehow I feel that all these outcomes are the handiwork of the CIA.  It's the global government toppling agency since ages.

I am so happy for you Monica that the right wing terrorists are out. May not be perfect, but you can live with less frustration. Now I am waiting for my fellow Americans to get smart before our rightwingers bring this country to its knees.

Shanta, I know of the devastating quakes in your part of the world. Luckily we have never had any quakes like that around here, Once in a great while we may have a very mild tremor but that is rare.

Sau, I am also happy that you are enjoying some nice weather if only for a little while.

Take care everyone and have a great day. Love and Hugs!!!

me too . u too have a lovely day !! fox is NOT news . it started doing all their agenda which is helping the big corporations like oil, gas and other big money machines and republicans . noticed that when they were impeaching Clinton . all day and nights they had topics like cheating , having sex or adultery to talk about if they were not directly condemning him .

Ya Sau, and now they adamantly defend the pussy grabber! Whichever way the wind blows. I can't watch Fox, it makes me so angry that they can twist the truth and even downright lie, and people really believe that crap. What is really disturbing is the way they pit one group of people against another...indigenous people, Jews, blacks, Moslems, immigrants in general, women, gays and on and on. The people who are convinced that these groups are the cause of their problems can't see that united we stand divided we fall and that is exactly what the far right wants. It makes it easier for multinational corporations to exploit workers with low paying jobs and even slave labor and to pollute our environment and destroy wildlife and the planet.

I think that sometimes MSNBC gets a little biased too, but for the most part, when show hosts are calling out the opposition they speak the truth. I do a lot of facts checking so I know when people are lying...I hope!

I've said enough...everyone have a lovely day filled with blessings!!! xoxoxo

Clicked all after days. With a house full of guests it's too hard to find a little time to call my own.

Sara , I can feel your plight.  We seem to have nothing else happening  throughout the country but Modi Modi and Modi.  All the channels are  sold  out in competition.

Monica,  hope for the best.  You still have time.  You don't have the population problem like us most of the public fed with cowdung and cow urine.  FYI  there's a terror  accused woman who fought the election  while under anticipatory bail and won with a huge margin only because of her derogatory remarks on the police officer who had arrested her previously and afterwards became a martyr fighting the terrorists during the Bombay  serial blasts claiming more than 500 lives  . This woman also hailed the assassin of Gandhiji as the true patriot.  Moreover she claims that she has been cured of cancer  drinking  COW URINE.  All these cast a huge effect on the imbecile herds of sheep.

Terrie, the picture of USA is the mirror reflection of India,  both being huge melting pots of different races cultures and religions.  As Trump is for the Americans only Modi is for the Hindus only who toe him . Dissent voices are being gagged,  the journalists and elites being put behind the bars.  He is blurting out secularism publicly and his followers  thrashing the Muslims regularly, his ministers  enthusing with their hate quotes without any  admonition from our new god.  India is being eaten by the vultures.

Wish you all a peaceful weekend.

All done. Sorry, Sau...I am not on facebook.

We haven't gotten to the point of jailing many dissenters yet, but if people don't wake up, it could happen. Is there much hope for India Shanta? I would imagine many of Modi's followers are the poor and uneducated the same as most Trump supporters.

For a long time, many decades now, publishers of school textbooks here have changed historical facts to make certain people like George Washington look like a most wonderful human being when the truth is, he was not all that great, he had clay feet. At the same time, they tend to make Native Americans worse than what they are, simply people who wanted to survive. I have to wonder at who's direction the publishers are doing this and who keeps it going. I also have to wonder how far the half-truths/brainwash goes.

Have a wonderful day ladies...Love and Hugs!!!

sounds like Shanta u r having a party ! fun unless u have to do all the cooking and cleaning . Shanta vultures are good animals . so calling those creatures vultures is not nice too vultures . and I learned that Indian vultures are endangered and they are vital to the eco system. one of the few bird species I like .

well have a good weekend ladies . do not get depressed. we have to find something stupid and fun in life. like I am watching master chef use now by gordon ramsey.

Terrie,  it wasn't a  happy get together.  My brother in law who had a bypass surgery two months ago has come to stay a few days with us along with his wife and my husband's  sister.  Last night he had the breathing problem and today he is taken to the hospital by my husband.

No dear , this time it's not only the poor and uneducated but also the so called educated,  with a lot of qualifications  added to the milieu.  Religion is the trump card manipulated. The full cabinet is not yet disclosed. But so far 22 of the ministers have multiple criminal charges pending.  Now they will all be acquitted we are sure.  I know that after the history text books the black went to America as gold diggers in quest of fortune.  Our guys too will refurbish our history in their own way tarnishing Gandhiji, Nehru Indira Gandhi. The assassin of Gandhiji has been a hero to them ever since and now he is hailed as a great patriot

Sau, yes my friend.  You can't expect the guests to clean up. Moreover I used to cook fish for my husband and my dogs  and refrigerate it for a week.  Now I have to do it daily.

Oh no.  Don't take it otherwise.  I mentioned them by mistake.  I am dead against  naming any vile human comparing him with animals. In our childhood we saw these guys launching on the tall trees specially  the coconut trees. But they are dying out more because of dirth of food.  They fed on the  corpses and carcasses  . But now a days the dead bodies are cremated in the electric ovens leaving nothing for the vultures.  But more deplorable thing is the extinction of the sparrows. I miss them so much

I heard vultures r being killed or died from the vaccination given to cows by owners. And in national geo , it showed the birds had to compete with street or stray dogs . Spay & neuter all cats & dogs if rescuers have the money. Like most places outside of the western worlds , many dogs live on streets just like cats ; neither r welcome by locals . So even if they r spayed , no ones want the dogs to return. That’s a problem .
We have 2 candidates competing for master chef USA ! One of the men had his mom who had flown to us from India for her son ! He insisted on cooking even though men r not supposed to cook at home. But we know they get paid if they r chefs .

Sau you are correct to some extent.  It depends on the regional mentality as a whole. Like you see how the elephants are treated in the south India.  But the north eastern part of the country is more tolerant with the animal world. Here they are dying down naturally. But one thing is sure that the smaller birds have to struggle for existence in the street fights with the strays.  But thankfully my dogs don't have any issues with the birds feeding on their left overs or the birds splattering their water for baths.  Re the chef's sos to his mom is hilarious.  You are right  again.  Although the men are the master chefs here and the catering business or the restaurant jobs are done mainly by them our primitive mindset won't allow the  men to do ANY household job like cleaning, cooking washing etc. Moms prefer to keep their sons as perpetual  children.  So the war starts when the wife steps in . But she will again follow the same route .

Hello Monica Terrie  Sheila... have a peaceful new week.

All done and also yesterday.

We had a frost last night or should I say early this morning. We have a fairly big garden that we have almost completed all the planting, so we had to run around late yesterday and cover plants with whatever we could find. We also have plants in big pots that Steve brought in the garage with a dolly. Hard to believe it was 82 F. just two days ago.

I am so sorry Shanta to hear of your brother-in-law's misfortune. I hope he is feeling well soon.

It is a very bad habit that a lot of people have, to say people are some kind of animal in a derogatory way. I keep saying people who are sloppy are pigs and I catch myself saying it, but it's hard to break the habit. Anyway, pigs are really clean animals. They just wallow like elephants, hippos, etc., to keep cool and protect from sun damage.

Sau, The contestant from India who had to have his mom was funny and cute.  Who won the challenge?

It is 9 AM and 50 F. time to go out and uncover plants before the sun gets too high and overheats them.

Have a wonderful new week filled with blessings everyone. Love and Hugs!!!

Master chef just started last week. Terri since u r in USA u can follow the show on fox network. Here in the west begins on 8 or 9 pm Wednesday I think . The mom was so proud, I remember the serials of Gorden cooking & learning local cooking thru out India. He was so funny & humble. He was bossed around & cooked in Mumbai streets . And he entered a cooking contest with Indianan housewives. He was the only man ! Won the second pride. Went to southern India & learned to fish & appreciate veggie cooking. Cooked for a bunch of food critic . Tried to climb a coconut tree , could not . He looked like a clumpy monkey . Tried to mediated failed . The swami thought he was in his 60’s , he was only in his mid 40’s.

He was so cute cooking along with all the Indian housewives . He was the tallest , male blonde standing along with the rest women .

Speaking of mediation & swami . I can’t tell A guru from a swami . Went to a day thing by a young female swami in the 80’s . When I saw her picture, I thought she was a man with her short hair, a day before she was in my dream ! That was a long day because we sat & mediate . She came down from the stage ( was in an old theater) to bless us all with a peacock feather . The moment her feather touched my head , I felt freaking peace ! No internal argument or anger or negative thoughts at all . Felt really peaceful till I went back to my old mold .

Terrie I can't decide whether to envy you or bless myself. We are having 114 +  whereas the highest in the western part is 122+. There we have a desert. Many of my plants have withered in spite of watering them twice a day. But why are you having frost even now  ? When will you have summer  ? I too try hard not  to honour a vile guy comparing him with animals.  But sometimes habits get the better of wisdom

ROFL dear Sau . How did the chef / his mom prepare the food  ? Was the competition on Indian cuisines only.  I can't enlighten you about the spiritual world dear friend. Guru means teacher in the general sense.  Swami s attain the spiritual heights, I think.  But now a days it's a trend to put on a saffron robe chant a few Sanskrit hymns and ( mis ) interpret them and you can become a Swami. To me the only Swami is Vivekananda , who talked less about spirituality  and worked for the  humans and animals in distress.

All done.

I will have to try and remember to turn Mr. Ramsey on. I have seen the other show he did, where he went to various restaurants with dysfunctional kitchens and whipped them into shape. Your experience with the Swami sounds wonderful. I don't mean to pry into your personal life but I am very curious. Why didn't you pursue it?

Shanta, we have so-called Christians that are always quick to pass judgment on others when their own lives are lacking. They think if they go to church every Sunday they have hit the pinnacle, but of course, it is always easier to order everyone else's life than it is to order your own. Mother Theresa was a Christian, almost everyone else is a "wannabe".

I think we are still experiencing spring, but summer will be soon upon us. It really is not unheard of to have a frost so late in the season as night time temps are still cool, and of course with the climate change who knows what will happen. I think we are safe now as the night time temps are starting to warm up.

Terrie,  the same can be told of us too. Most of us make a show of the devotion and nothing else.  The Swami I told about,  founded the R K Mission in the early part of last century with the view to helping  All in distress.  His primary diction was that you can serve the Almighty only by serving each of His earthlings.  Sadly his followers now a days have deviated a lot from his path.

Don't you want to relieve me ? We just reached only 120

Shanta forgot to tell u , the man from India who is in the master chef competition show cooks western or American food with Indian influence. He impressed Gordon who was so gentle with the mom. She was grinning ear to ear. They never let any one other than the contestants to speak with Jules people behind the closed door. Gorden let her in & asked for her opinion. Another contestant from India also got in . There r 20 spaces for the master chef competition.

Clicked all.  I do the Greater Group one on another click group Sau . Did Gordon enjoy the food,  hot and spicy  ? Haha,  I too have the bad knack of fusing western vegetables and Indian style.  Like how would you enjoy capsicum made with poppy seed paste? Or leeks cooked with cumin and coriander paste with a lot of chilli? But non vegetarian items are lucky to be out of my lab . I am sure the man orders every cup of tea.  It's our primitive mindset which doesn't appreciate men doing domestic cores.

I hear ya girlfriend!!! When Steve works out of town for the week it is wonderful. I like to clean but I am sick of dishes and greasy stovetops. they are never-ending when he is home and now he is retired. Ugh!!!

I heard of another presidential candidate for the 2020 elections here. Her name is Marianne Williamson and she is a drink of fresh water. She cuts right through all the crap to say it like it really is. I don't think she could win as she is too sane for this world, but I love her. If anyone has a chance, look her up online.

Sorry Terrie,  I don't think your lady stands a chance to win elections.  The world has turned into gutters and none but we , the BEST creation of God  are only to blame.  Modesty, sanity and wisdom are lost  values now.  We had 50% of our elected MPs from Modi's party having all sorts of criminal charges against them,  including a terrorist charge.

I know Monica. When something happens and I can't use my mobile or laptop it's as if I lost an arm or leg and I panic and desperately try to find someone to reconnect it. Boy...that is really sad!!!

Shanta, are these criminal MPs going to be tried in court? Are the other 50% concerned with fighting for right?

I had never heard of Marianne Williamson until about a week ago. She was being interviewed on the PBS News Hour. She spoke of the psychology of Trump and his followers and boy she nailed that right on the head. She not only a fair and just person, but she is really intelligent and even if I don't think she can win I will be following her. Good things do happen, we only have to reach for them.

It is supposed to rain this evening, we can use it.
