Wild Fact About Me
My Philosophy
What Gives Me Hope TED (technology-education-design) forum of scientists, artists and philosophical thinkers dedicated to a better word reaching out to humanity and earth first. Random acts of kindness. Greek riots. French protests and corporate takeovers. Platforms like CARE. people who give up cars to pedal bicycles and downsize their life. people who green their lives. Business dedicated to green living.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by Implement a constitutional convention: for ending corporate influence in elections, equalizing campaign funds and air time for ALL candidates, end party system--all candidates must run as independents (NGOs such as NRA or Greenpeace or Green Party or other party act as activist groups able to fund transparent social advertising based on informative criteria), making election days national and state holidays, ending monopolies and limiting conglomerations, making single-payer health care a constitutional and human right, making chemical foods unconstitutional, and making a bill of green laws protecting the biosphere ad its inhabitants. Reform the farm bill. End subsidies on conventional commercial farming. Subsidize organic farms. Tax junk food, additives, and preservatives. Subsidize health food. Create a Green Police Force in the street and corporate-hallways with Patriot Act like powers. Create a volunteer work force for cleaning up environments and super-funds. Task CEO's with the same and enforce incarceration, and confiscation of all assets for violations of green laws. Force industrial polluters to work on Green task force as laborers cleaning up contamination and re-building communities. Make community service mandatory for all school students high-school graduates (serving three years min.), and mandatory for college graduation (four years). End NAFTA and Cafta (reform). create and stimulate co-operatives with huge tax breaks for all democratically operated industries. Stimulate and create unions. Free all non-violent offenders and install in Class A (my classification) open-prison systems designed to rehabilitate through vocational study, communal living, job experience, education, gardening, etc. Reform prison system--violent offenders will be rehabilitated in class B prison systems as above on case by case basis. Dismantle the telecommunications industry. Stimulate local community organized radio stations (with some transparent gov. grants based on meaningful objective, truthful content). Religious evangelism will be prohibited on public airwaves, and religious content will be moderated. If a religious organization wants to promote a community service the message must remain secular. Change building codes to conform to new green laws. Subsidize green roofs and gardens, green walls. Subsidize and stimulate super trains. End subsidies for air transit (re-direct funds to green technology research). Subsidize green technology in transit, energy, innovation. Stimulate new steam, solar, sail mass transit worldwide passenger shipping service--encouraging a shift from air to sea, making travel greener, more enjoyable adventurous, and meditative while creating millions of jobs. End oil dependency by making it mandatory shift to renewable technology in five year period hell or high water. Petroleum based vehicles will be removed form streets and taxed dramatically in five year transitional period. Call for International constitutional convention outlawing war and interventionist national forces, and building a UN naval force capable of implementing peacekeeping and humanitarian missions by democratic vote (all nations one equal vote)--the Eternal Fleet to deliver aid, rescue survivors of natural disaster and conflict, provide emergency relief and power, accommodate refugees, etc. Close all US military bases abroad funneling all that money into infrastructure at home, universal health care, and International humanitarian/ecological missions. Create a Depression-era workforce of unskilled and skilled laborers planting trees, and weatherizing every residential and public building in America and Mexico. Destroy the new arsenal of pain-rays used to microwave citizen-protesters practicing constitutional and human freedoms. (Protest is the essence of democracy) Freedom will be lost if you don't fight for it every day and if you give up freedoms in the name of security or terror you didn't deserve it!

You're not a burden.  Don't ever think that!  I appreciate your passion and your notices.  i do what I can-I just dont always reply.  I get too into this stuff and I get flustered, too angry and depressed about the state of the world so I have to detox for a bit, but I'm always here, silent, digging, undermining, agitating--the old mole.  If you can--keep doing what you do!  Thanks.  greenpeace always
