Dispatches From The War On Women: Paul Ryan, Meet The On-Line Feminist Army

Welcome to Dispatches, your round-up of the latest news from the frontlines of the War on Women. Have a story from your state or an idea on how to push back? Share them here and fight back against the War on Women.

Paul Ryan’s campaign stopped in Colorado Tuesday where it ran smack dab into the online feminist army. First his event in Lakeland was infiltrated by “Fertilized Egg” attendees, then while speaking to supporters outside a plan flew overhead that read “Hey girl, choose me, lose choice-P.Ryan” while Twitter exploded with the Ryan-inspired affirmations like “Hey girl, got birth control? Not for long.” So fantastic.

Despite his solid anti-choice credentials religious conservatives are still not sold on the Romney-Ryan ticket.

Social Security turned 77 yesterday. If you’d like it to turn 78 here’s a hint: don’t vote for Romney-Ryan.

Congress’ approval hits an all-time low of 10 percent, and let’s not forget that Paul Ryan is a congressional rising star.

Radical anti-choice group the Susan B. Anthony list is hitting the road with their anti-abortion bus to expose the presidents “radical pro-abortion record.” If only this administration had a radical pro-abortion record. Can you imagine?

This is just horrific. In Florida a woman was strip searched by police and in the process had her tampon forcibly removed.

There’s little question the US women dominated in the London Olympics. There’s also little question that dominance was thanks to Title IX.

There’s just so much wrong with this story. A bullied teen girl responds by getting $40,000 worth of plastic surgery.

It seems like the tide is turning on this issue, but vending machines obviously don’t belong in schools.

Jezebel wins the day for this headline alone: Epic Mansplainer Wonders Why Women Can’t Just Shut Up About the Gender Wage Gap Already.

Thanks for checking back and don’t forget to send in your stories, suggestions and comments. We’ll be back each weekday with the latest in the best and the worst from the War on Women. So long as the battle rages, we’ll cover the latest, so please check back!

Judy M.? "obama raped medicare of $700 billion dollars to fund obamacare, (he admitted that), how does that make medicare safe and solvent for our seniors in the future, IT DOES NOT!"

Well, that IS what Romney/Ryan are saying yes. But Obama reformed medicare not raped it. They know that too. But you must have missed the same part they did. It was 716 billion dollars. And that SAME 716 billion dollar cut is in the Romney/Ryan budget. Only they don't aim to reform anything. Just cut it out of the budget and shift the burden to the states, most of which are fighting huge deficits already, largely caused by UNFUNDED mandates from the Bush administration. See, under Bush, the republican's figured out that one way they could claim to have reduced federal spending was to pass laws, mandate that states implement them, but include no funding, leaving the states to pay for it and Bush looking like he hadn't increased federal spending, which was technically true, but fundamentally dishonest. Not an unusual position for today's republican party at all. Sort of like Mitt's "promise" that he never paid less than 13% and we just have to trust him on that. You know?

Jean, It could be far far worse...so yes we are better off that the alternative, McCain and "crosshairs" Palin. Given what Obama inherited, I think he has held things together rather well.

Tea Party hate came out in 2008 and has not stopped....seeking to sabatogue Obama's every move.

Thank you Judy for your willingness to tell lies, advance lies, and simply be the parrot for the echo chamber of false talking points. Your credibility will likely never recover this huge faux pas of yours. I'd say take a bow, but you have already taken a dive.
