Illinois Still Pushing Ultrasound Bill

Illinois is still trying to pass a forced ultrasound bill, despite growing national opposition to legislators mandating expensive and unnecessary medical procedures all in the name of “protecting” women.

The Illinois bill at least underscores the level of respect conservatives place on women’s lives. They’ve passed it first through the House Agriculture Committee, the same committee that considers legislation regulating domestic farm animals.

Hear that women in Illinois? Your lawmakers think you’re cattle.

The offensively named “Ultrasound Opportunity Act” takes a two-pronged approach to shaming women. First, should a woman try and decline the “opportunity” to have the mandated ultrasound, she must do so in writing, on a state-provided form that would then be collected and stored for the state. Clinics and physicians would then be forced to track and report the number of women who refuse to be violated by the state.

With the level of detailed monitoring of women’s reproductive status that conservatives are pushing nationwide, how long until they suggest a national registry where all women must confirm to the state pregnancies that are then fully tracked? Does that sound paranoid? Check out Brazil.

It infuriates me that a bunch of MEN are determining such issues for women. It baffles me that any thinking, independent woman would vote for these neanderthals. Send them back to their caves.

This "war on women" is nothing more then the NEOCONS distracting us from what they are really doing to us and that is the extraction of their revenge for electing a Black President. There's no secret that it was Women, Young Adults, Seniors, Blacks, Latins, Middle Class and the Poor who collectively succeeded in electing President Obama. So far the so called "right" has targeted: Young Adults, through criminializing free speech and legal assembly for the purpose of protecting our 1st amendment rights, Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security to get back at Seniors, bringing back Jim Crow type laws in the from of criminal judgements and removal of educational funding to public schools and nonprofits that support Black People, using Immigration and RICO laws to get back at Latins and non-Christians, allowing corporations and banks to force Foreclosures and Underwater Mortageges, Unemployment, Slave Jobs, attacks on Unions, and Pensions to savotage the Middle Classes, last but not least the war on Poor People by limiting or removing college scholarships, use of corporate owned media and corrupt justice systems to criminalize organizations that empower their communities, criminalizing small/home business enterprizes by charging large fees that makes it more difficult for them to become independent of the government support system and militarizing police departments to destabilize communities by murdering and falsely criminalizing their children.
These "Wars" are, in my opinion,

The fact that this is being passed through the AGRICULTURE Committee tells you EXACTLY what they think of real live human women.

Go to YouTube and look up the how to on the intra-vaginal ultrasound device. This is NOT for children, but they are using a plastic training dummy. The device is HUGE. Now people protesting this get a picture of it next to a person holding it so you can see the size reference.

That is all you need to do to kill this because the thing is just that big.

so, this will protect women from "unsafe doctors and clinics"...when he votes against abortion, there will be even more unsafe procedures via coat hangers. Maybe he wants to invest in "sanitized for your protection" coat hanger stocks?

where is Joan Crawford when we need her?
