Parents of Trans Kids: It Gets Better (VIDEO)

A group of parents who all have transgender children have spoken out in a first of its kind It Gets Better video.

Featuring parents from PFLAG’s support group for families of transgender children, this video sees the parents of trans kids sharing their personal stories about how they came to understand their childrens’ needs and find support for both themselves and their families.

They want the parents of trans kids to know that, though they may find the situation of having a trans kid overwhelming at first, with the right support things do get better and that they can make life so much better for their children.

What a wonderful video and such positive support from parents.
Our trans-youth has the highest suicide percentage of all youth. Many times this is caused by parents who refuse to accept who their child is and lash out back at their own child.

This is real John M. How sad of a person you are if you would rather see a young person or child kill themselves or live a life of despair and misery then get information out to parents that they are not alone and this is okay. How sorry for you.

John M said: "How sad. Being you are WHAT,you are NOT,what you THINK,you are!!!"

How sad that a closet case such as yourself can't come out of that closet and be a happy gay man. Instead you have to make snide, sarcastic the name of your Jesus of course. You're just like all the George Rekers, Ted Haggert's, Eddie Long's, and Larry Craig's out there. Better watch out! Your day to be outed is coming up! For if you were satisfied in your own skin, it wouldn't matter if someone was LGBT.

I'm just so glad to see how things are changing. How cool would it be if one day when a child reached a serten age we just said, are you a boy or a girl? and we just took them for what they said.
