Pet Pig Raids Fridge (Video)

Pigs are known to be intelligent animals; this video proves it.  Watch the little piggy patiently wait for his human to leave the room before opening the refrigerator door and raiding the fruit drawer.  Hey, at least the pig made a good food choice!

I would consider swine either livestock or working animals, but I don't think I'd consider making house pets of them; I'd prefer a dog or cat. Horses are also 'pet' eligible but usually a bit to large to bring in the house. None of them deserve abuse; whether we raise and cleanly slaughter livestock or treat working animals as employees or include our pets as family, we should avoid making their lives less than as comfortable as the situation can provide.

Well, at least he only took ONE. Nice pig! Except the regular pigs are a lot cuter, sorry but it's true. Just wish they didn't ALSO get the size of a VW.... so sad!

very cute. I LOVE pigs. Sent it to my niece, who is contemplating getting one as a companion animal, in lieu of a cat.

Ha ha , that was just so cute. He is a smart piggy, An apple a day keeps the doctor away, in his case keeps the vet away.

Pigs are as smart as dogs, and just as affectionate.

I agree, the pig is a little hefty, and should have it's diet evaluated.

Cute, but pet pigs do not belong in the house. Build them a home outside if you want them as pets.

Javelinas are sure cute, but they'd tear up your yard.

The Army experimented with contraband-sniffing pigs. They're very good at finding hidden drugs, etc., but unlike the dogs, they didn't just stop and point, they tended to make a shambles of the scene.
