‘Human Barbie’ Stuffs Daughter’s Stocking with Surgery Voucher

This Christmas, Sarah Burge, the self proclaimed Human Barbie, gave her 7-year-old daughter a voucher for cosmetic surgery  as a stocking stuffer.

The voucher is specifically for liposuction.  This is little Poppy’s second voucher, although Poppy can’t use either voucher until she reaches the legal age for the surgeries (16).  Her first one, for a boob job, was a birthday present. And what a birthday celebration it was. After her pole dancing lessons, she and seven of her friends received makeovers, drank fake champagne and had designer cake.

Evidently Poppy does not like bouncy houses, and would rather have the pole dancing lessons.  After the makeovers, she and her gal pals posed for pictures for the neighbors.

Sarah is just being helpful.  She told the Weekly World News “I put the voucher in her stocking – there’s nothing wrong with that,” Sarah Burge said.  ”She asks for surgery all the time. She wants to look good and lipo is one of those procedures that will always come in handy.”

Burge has two other daughters, 27-year-old Charlotte and 17-year-old Hannah.  They have also have received cosmetic surgery and plan to continue with more procedures.

Burge told the Weekly World News, “Some people think it’s controversial and I get angry when strangers say I’m a bad mother because I don’t think there’s any harm in giving her this gift,” she explained. “Poppy is a normal kid who is good at sports and loves playing outside. Girls don’t want Snow White and Cinderella anymore.”

I guess they want Barbie.

I can't imagine ONE person being o.k. with this. Should there be education and testing before someone is allowed to conceive?

Well, I do not know her so am careful to observe her statement to not call her a bad mother since she's sick of it, however, even if child 'asks for surgery all the time', it would be better to explain to her she is beautiful as she is and raise her self esteem rather than validating the child's concern with external appearance.
I wonder why the lady is known as real life Barbie because - while the beautiful plastic doll has an unrealistic standard, to me as a child she represented empowerment I never even thought of her in terms of appearance - I saw her as a lady who could be a teacher, or a veterenarian, or a doctor, being ambitious and caring - so she was inspiring and made me feel happy and postive about myself. If I recieved from my own mother a coupon for plastic surgery I would feel the opposite - very sad and low self esteem which to me is opposite of what Barbie stood for to me

It's sad this child will believe that she needs such things in order to be loved.

Out of curiosity, I googled Sarah Burge to see what she actually looks like.

Would somebody please scrub my mind out with soap, because THAT IS ONE OF THE UGLIEST WOMEN I HAVE EVER SEEN! My god, all the makeup slathered on her face - I wonder what she would look like if she actually washed her face? And somebody should explain to her that pink lipstick looks really tacky on adult women - at least women her age and skin tone.

What a freak.

There is something seriously wrong with Sarah Burge. By giving her daughter a voucher for liposuction, she is telling her that she is not a beautiful child. For Pete's sake, let her grow into herself. She is not you, Sarah.

Nice to have a mother, a woman, teach her daughters, other women and girls, that it's not WHO they are that count, it's how plastic they are. Thank you for raising bubble heads who are stuck on procedures to be accepted. I'm teaching MY son that real women who like themselves as they are, are the ones that he needs to go after.

Or, take the better route. Instead of chasing after whom ever, work on himself to strive for better. Women chase men who are goal orientated and have drive to live.
