5 Easy Ways to Eat Fennel

Do you use fennel in your cooking? Fennels are a bulbous vegetable, and when you think of vegetables, these guys probably aren’t at the top of your list. These overlooked vegetables are long and green. Their top looks kind of like dill, with a wispy and willowy appearance. And their bottom counterparts are most sought after, with a firm texture, kind of like cabbage.

Fennels are great in salads like our Mizuna, Fennel, and Mulberry Salad and are great additions to make a snack like these Grapefruit Coriander Fennel Bites. Don’t be afraid to get creative with this little known vegetable and make something amazing like this vegan Beet, Fennel, and Lime Pate.

Don’t know how fennel tastes like? People say fennel tastes kind of like licorice. A vegetable that tastes like candy. That’s a winner in our book!
