I've been living in Canada for 20 years and I can't understand why many buildings are so poorly constructed. It's not logical that one has to use a huge amount of heating in Winter and then still be cold. In summer, in my small apartment, I run three fans in an attempt to cool down. But the building doesn't cool down over the hot evenings in summer.

There are some forward-looking developers, but most want to cut costs as greed is endemic....
