Adorable Dog Lives Under Shed for One Year After Owner Dies (Video)

“Poor Woody was forced to live under the shed after his owner passed away and the family left him behind after selling their house. He was left surviving on food and water left out by neighbours. Fortunately, Woody was found by American animal rescue team, Hope for Paws, who used a hoop on the end of a stick to gently pull the terrified pup from his hiding spot. The team took him to their shelter where they gave him a much needed wash and haircut. Although staff have agreed to temporarily foster Woody, they are now looking for someone to take him on full time to ensure he has a new loving home.”

I hope the dog finds the loving home he deserves we all should help our local shelters.

I have the same questions that many others have had. 1. Why would someone just leave an animal behind? How can their conscience be clear after doing something that evil. If they can't take the animal there are shelters. 2. What the heck were the new owners thinking just leaving the little guy to live under the shed? They are as guilty as the original owners. 3. Why did it take a year for the neighbors to seek out help for Woody? They do get points for feeding/helping but they acted way too slow for his well being.

I can never get my head round the fact that people think it's OK to just turn round & walk away from an animal that needs them. How do they justify it to themselves? I sincerely hope they never get a pet of their own...

I watched this rescue and donated immediately. I am thinking about becoming a monthly donor. Hope For Paws goes into L.A. neighborhoods where some cops are even afraid to go in order to rescue animals. No animal ever leaves an owner unless it is escaping abuse. Shame on the bastards who left him behind. I'm ashamed to call them fellow human beings.
