Awesome. My friend had a double lung transplant and lived the longest life after that and is the top of the list for success here in Melb Australia. Her brother had to have a double lung transplant too and also her other brother but his was only one. All did very well indeed. Two smoked heavily and not sure about the other brother. Perhaps not, Im not sure but smoking is a huge culprit. I still miss my friend, she was a fantastic person as was her brothers. They were all trailblazers for success.

Ellen such a beautiful and thankful human being. May she continue to have a very healthy life from now on. And to the one who gave her that life and the family - selfless and beautiful too.

I heard about her story on Ellen. What a beautiful and gracious lady. Hope this inspires more people to become donors.

I never understood why people were to attatched to their organs once they died. I don't care what happens to my body once I die, I'm dead.

I'm glad this young woman is bringing attention to the need for organ donors and that she has a healthy set of lungs. Thanks to the internet, youtube, care2 etc. people know all about double lung transplants. People may NOT know that my Canadian cousin, Lucie, was a double lung transplant patient years ago. She also is doing well, and hurray for her as well. I'm so proud of her!
