7 Vegan Finger Food Recipes

When folks imagine vegan appetizers, they probably picture a spread of raw veggies with a vinaigrette for dipping. While crudités certainly have their place in a party spread, you can also put together vegan appetizers with a lot more flavor and variety. Here are some recipe ideas for cruelty-free finger foods your guests will love, whether they eat animal products or not!
Alex of Cute and Delicious made these little, savory pastries using Thanksgiving leftovers to fill, but you could use all sorts of vegan fillings! Try sauteed greens with white beans; mashed sweet potato or butternut squash with olive oil, almond milk, and a touch of organic maple syrup; or minced, roasted root veggies. For a sweet take, you can fill them up with your favorite jam or preserves!
I love Manifest Vegan’s seasonal twist on a party favorite! She spices her popcorn with nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon. You can also season popcorn with nutritional yeast to give it a delicious, cheesy flavor without a drop of dairy in sight.
Hummus is a vegan staple, and The Vegan Lazy Smurf gives it a tasty southwestern twist! I know I just knocked on raw veggies, but they’d be great for dunking into this decadent dip. You could also serve with toasted pita triangles.
4. Spring Rolls
Over at the Fat Free Vegan, Susan has a mouth-watering recipe for spring rolls. I’ve seen this style of roll in a rice paper wrapper also called a summer roll. No matter what you call it, it’s delicious!

Rachel Shulman at Eat Drink Better shares a recipe for socca, a savory vegan pancake. These would be great cut into strips, rolled up, and secured with a toothpick. You could serve them plain or with some jam for dipping.
While many stuffed mushroom recipes call for animal ingredients like cream cheese, you don’t need dairy to make this tasty finger food! This recipe for savory stuffed mushrooms is easy and delicious.
No party spread would be complete without something sweet. While you might think chocolate isn’t vegan, that’s just not so! Good, dark chocolate is often free of animal ingredients. Whole Foods makes vegan chocolate chips, and Ghirardelli’s semi-sweet chocolate chips are also vegan.
