interesting! my problem, however, isn't making a large space seem more cozy...but trying to make a small space seem larger...

liked some of these examples better than others , but it decidedly needs to be balanced with very light color elsewhere in the room.

looks good sometimes, looks like something heavy dropping down on your head the other times. and must be hell to redecorate - i suppose you have to put on several coats till that black doesnt shine through.
