Oh my ... i see me in each and every one of the categories. Sometimes it's pain, or inability to lift anything over 8 lbs., or wanting to read something 'later' [which 'later' doesn't seem to come along], indecision, wanting to get organized but i need to buy a cabinet first, etc. Oh and the flood we had in the basement - salvaged things are still in boxes - it took the water-damage people 9 months to complete the remediation / tear out of carpeting/ repair work - all while i lost important documents needed to do taxes, - still waiting for replacement info. i'd better get to work! Thanks for a very clear article - very informative, inspirational, motivating and clear! Printing it out now [so i can REALLY read it and improve my awfully newly acquired habit of 'later...' ty

Ugh, I hate clutter. Messes with my feeling of zen that I need in my place. I do a pretty regular purge of stuff myself- I can see how it happens though we have so much stuff coming into our lives all the time! I'm not even a big shopper but it's amazing how many little things can add up to a whole lot of clutter. My little apartment's pretty small though so it's not really an option to keep a lot of stuff. De-cluttering is always so satisfying!
