Where is Your Spirit?

Where is this quantum, mechanical (spiritual) body? One can answer that that it lies in a gap that unfortunately is rather difficult to picture, since it is silent, has no thickness, and exists everywhere.

Finding the silent gap that flashes in between our thoughts seems relatively easy, but because it flashes by, a tiny gap is not a doorway. The quantum body is not separate from us–it is us–yet we are not experiencing it right now. Sitting here, we are thinking, reading, talking breathing, digesting, and so on, all of which happens above the line.

Here is an analogy that brings the quantum mechanical body into focus: Take a bar magnet and place a piece of paper over it. Next, sprinkle iron filings on the paper and jostle it slightly. What will emerge is a pattern of curving lines, one inside the other, that arch from the magnet’s north to south pole and back again. The overall design you have made represents a map of the magnetic lines of force that otherwise would be invisible, except that the iron particles automatically align themselves to bring out the image.

We see all mind-body activity above the paper and the hidden field of intelligence below. The iron filings moving around are mind-body activity, automatically aligning with the magnetic field, which is intelligence. The field is completely invisible and unknowable until it shows its hand by moving some bits of matter around. The piece of paper is the quantum mechanical body, a thin screen that shows exactly what patterns of intelligence are being manifested at the moment.

There you have a picture of how the body-mind actually relates to the field of intelligence. The two remain separated, but the division is invisible and has no thickness whatever. It is just a gap. The only way one knows that the quantum level even exists is that images and patterns keep cropping up everywhere in the body.

To dive into the field of intelligence appears easy now: It requires only a trip across a gap. But even though the gap has no thickness, it forms a barrier no steel door could possibly match. To solve the mystery of the gap, we need to consult the ones who have been there.

Fascinating Description of Spirit, Dr Chopra. What practical good it does or CAN do I have no idea, I'll have something to think about. Thank you, Sir.

Vicky: Everyone's is quantum mechanical. Think of quanta as soul particles.
P.S. Chopra *is* a scientist--a medical doctor and endocrinologist for to be exact.

I like this explanation! CS Lewis said, "You are not a human having a spiritual experience; you are a spirit having a human experience." The important part of us isn't the body; that's a shell. The important part is that which survives body death.

Interestingly put.

Our spirit is simplicity itself. It is the Life Energy inextricably linked to the Universal Energy Force, which surrounds us, and feeds our own energy body, (the energy mirror image surrounding our physical body), which in turn feeds our physical body by way of the chakras, which are energy centres linked to all the different individual parts of our physical bodies. Without our spirit/energy body to feed and repair (Heal) it when necessary, our physical body would not exist. The physical body is merely the "vehicle" through which we operate within any given lifetime. When we "die", our spirit blends back in with the Universal Energy once more, on one of numerous levels within the Universe, whilst our physical body is no longer necessary, and is left simply an empty shell, to be disposed of in our chosen way, whilst our spirit waits "in the wings", resting and learning until, if we choose to do so, we reincarnate into another physical vehicle (body), and begin another life time's journey. Our spirit is Eternal, and does not die as our physical bodies die.

I enjoyed reading that and the comments that followed.

My spirit isn't quantum mechanical! This metaphor is pseudo-scientific and doesn't appeal to me. Otherwise the article rings true.
