Who is the Smartest Animal? (3 cool videos)

Is it an elephant? A dolphin? A squirrel? Or a crow? Watch these 3 videos along with the one on Elephant Painting and you’ll see.

Think Elephants are smart? Try Dolphins

Dolphins are said to have the biggest brains for their size next to humans.

This dolphin has learned to read. Well, sort of. The dolphin has learned to respond to pictures written on a board.

They call it reading. But the dolphin is not reading from printed letters, but rather from pictures showing a dolphin doing various tricks. How is this different from responding to spoken commands?

Next up, on page 2, see how clever squirrels can be, and how well they learn.

Think Dolphins are smart? Try Squirrels (or Maybe Chipmunks)

Youíve probably been in awe of the agility of the squirrel in Mission Impossible by now.

Here is an older video about Squeak who is being taught things he never knew in the wild that enable him to get the food he loves. See how fast he learns. They call him a squirrel in this video, though he looks like a chipmunk to me. In any event, he is pretty clever.

The real winner is the crow on page 3. You’ll be amazed and in awe.

Think Squirrels are Smart? Try Crows

The real answer is a bird, not a mammal. It turns out that dolphins donít have the biggest brains relative to their bodies; crows do.

There have been a lot of studies showing how crows use tools to get what they want. But now crows have moved on in adjusting to modern life.

See what this crow, living in a city in Japan, does when he wants to open a nut that is too hard for him to crack. Are we as clever?

Dolphins, hands down. Their communication is beyond human comprehension. And they are beautiful, happy, compassionate animals. Unfortunately, they're being slayed one after another... Sad face.

Wonderful videos, dolphins are such a joy to watch and to be under water with if a dream of mine. I guess it is a toss up between crows and ravines, of which we get quite a few every summer...boy do they fight each other for territory. I love them, but my dog doesn't like being dive bombed by them!!!

All animals are so smart, it makes me sad that people exploit this and keep them in captivity for so called "entertainment" circus and zoo animals suffer so badly.

Dolphins never cease to amaze me.
I love these docile and intelligent animals.
I think the people that torture any animal should have the same done to them.

Cute video, but didn't anyone realize that Squeak is a chipmunk (Tomias striatus) with striped markings on back, not a squirrel (Sciurus) which is a solid color.
